About Hilltop Corner Family Daycare
Hilltop Corner Family Daycare opened in January 2012. Owner and operator, Maria Von Rueden, has four years' experience in Massachusetts large group daycare facilities caring for all ages. She also has several more years' experience in caring for children in the private sector in both Massachusetts and Ohio. Maria is both CPR and first aid certified in adult and pediatric practices as required by the State of Massachusetts.
Hilltop Corner Family Daycare is located on a 4.5 acre rural property near the Douglas State Forest. As an agricultural property, we include many outdoor experiences in our daily curriculum including an understanding of gardening and harvest as well as caring for and raising animals. We strive to maintain a sustainable operation and work to instill such knowledge in the children attending our program.
Hilltop Corner Family Daycare develops a curriclum that meets or exceeds all standards set forth by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care by planning developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences. These activites promote self help skills, problem solving, decision making, and an understanding of social structures, good health and nutrition. Using these experiences, we help each child develop life skills and strive to prepare them to enter into an elementary school setting.
